POLLYANNA SERIES
Showing Up and Standing Up:
A 5-Part Journey Towards Antiracism for White Adults
Cohort 2
“The beauty of anti-racism is that you don't have to pretend to be free of racism to be anti-racist. Anti-racism is the commitment to fight racism wherever you find it, including in yourself. And it's the only way forward.”
Ijeoma Oluo
Join Pollyanna facilitators Jay Golon and Jessy Molina for this parent/adult educational opportunity. This conversation series will move you forward. It will support you to learn more about white people’s roles and responsibilities in working for racial justice. We will examine questions such as:
-
Do white people have a racial identity?
-
Are all white people racist?
-
How can white people engage in cross-racial dialogue about race in productive ways?
-
How can white people disrupt and dismantle all forms of racism, including systemic and structural racism?
-
How can white people work together to address the problem of racism in their homes, families, workplaces, and communities?
This series on race and racism will empower and support you to show up and stand up for racial justice in meaningful ways.
